Similac Formula First I will give you my history, my daughter was born at 36 weeks and put on regular Similac Advance, she puked like a marathon puker at the hospital before they put her on the Similac Sensitive (lactose free) that helped. Recently, my daughter has been getting hungry more often (still drinking 4 – 5 oz every 4 hrs) and the dr suggested I try her on Similac Organic so that she can maybe be full enough to sleep thru the night. Similac Formula I am tempted but oh so scared!!! I know Alimentum is very thin and probably not filling her up, but it does her tummy good! I was very impressed with this product.

We have been using alimentum since our daughter was only few weeks old, because she had terrible colic and would have diarrhea up to 20 times per day, with regular formula and with breast milk. I tried changing my diet to no avail. Alimentum was a miracle. She finally slept and her poor little bottom got a much needed break from all the loose stools. Similac Alimentum The only draw back has been the price. We tried the formula coupons, but they don’t give you very many, and the stores have really started enforcing the names on the formula checks. With our first child, we were able to trade them with other moms, for the brands they used. So Amazon’s subscribe and save seemed like it was quite a deal. Similac Alimentum The price has gone up twice now, and the formula is getting worse. At first, I thought it was just coincidence that her stools would get loose when we used the mail-order cans, and then firm again when we used them from the local store.

Then I started noticing chunks of things in the mail order cans. The last 4 cans I have gotten have had chunks of what looks like wet-then-dried-formula, or possibly packing adhesive that leached in from the side seal of the can. GROSS! And of course, I only find these nasty chunks when the can is half empty. So, by that point, she has already consumed what might be contaminated. The safety seals have all been intact, and no dents to the cans. But I am canceling my subscription and sending back the last case. No amount of savings is worth giving your child something that seems contaminated.

I have preemie twins, and unfortunately they weren’t able to breastfeed due to their extended hospital stay after birth. They were given Neosure in the hospital and once they got home. They do still, in fact, receive two bottles of it a day. They have HORRIBLE reflux.
